A Schoolhouse Nursery

Bridgend

At Princess of Wales Day Nursery, we pride ourselves on being a close-knit team that is dedicated to creating a warm, family like atmosphere. Our aim is to ensure every child feels cherished and has a wonderful and inspiring experience at nursery.

We have dedicated rooms, each thoughtfully designed to create a natural and homely environment to inspire our young children to explore, develop and learn.

Our main play room gives the children an excellent opportunity to be curious, adventurous, play and have fun. Our spaces are equipped with age appropriate resources and materials that support a wide range of developmental learning experiences. By combining a supportive staff team with engaging play experiences, we aim to make every day at nursery a joyful adventure for your child.

Under 2’s area

A wonderful environment for our babies to be well cared for and their individual needs met. This nurturing space exudes a sense of calm and homeliness, creating a comforting atmosphere where babies feel safe and secure. Enriched with authentic treasures and natural resources, we invite little ones to explore and discover at their own pace.

Outdoor space

Our spacious outdoor area is designed for all ages. The Toddler and Pre-School section features three distinct textured gardens: a safety surface perfect for bikes, scooters, and building; a bark-covered adventure area equipped with a slide and look out tower and a grassy space, ideal for imaginative play. With a Summerhouse and hands on learning in our ‘veg patch where children can grow their own vegetables.’ Additionally, our canopy ensures that outdoor play can continue all year around, regardless of the weather, supporting consistent physical activity and exposure to fresh air.

The Under 2’s Section offers a secure garden area where the youngest children can safely enjoy the outdoors on safety surface. A favourite among the little ones, our sand pit, and natural treasures enhance sensory experiences and creativity. Soft, cosy areas are provided for rest and relaxation, while their nearby planting areas stimulate their developing senses.

Kasey Williams

Kasey Williams

Nursery Manager

Kasey has been an integral part of Schoolhouse’s journey since 2018. She initially led our Under 2’s room and later took on the role of Deputy Manager. Kasey’s commitment to high standards and her passion for early childhood education naturally led her to the position of Nursery Manager. In this role, she is driven to provide the highest quality childcare and enriching play opportunities for children of all ages.

In 2024, Kasey embarked on her own parenting journey, welcoming her baby daughter into the world. This personal experience of motherhood has profoundly enriched her professional role. Watching her daughter grow and develop into a unique individual has given Kasey a deeper understanding of the joys and challenges that parents face. Her dual perspective as both a professional and a parent enables her to provide exceptional care and guidance, making childcare one of the most rewarding jobs in her eyes.

Parents say…

Dear Heledd and Lauren & everyone else in the Under 2’s Team at Singleton,- Thank’s so much! You’ve done so much for Eric since he started in August. He’s come on so much and is such a happy and confident boy. A lot of that is down to you all, you’re amazing!

Emma, Stephen, Ned & Eric

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We appreciate the regular updates via the app, especially the photos of activities like painting, playing outside, and reading. The observation updates are helpful for tracking Trystan’s skill development, which we can support at home.

We’ve noticed significant improvements in Trystan’s independence, such as using cutlery, dressing himself, and socialising with other children since joining Singleton Day Nursery.

We also love the celebration of national days like National Pet Day and St. David’s Day.

Charlie James, Parent of Trystan

To all of the amazing girls at Princess of Wales, Schoolhouse. I can’t believe I’m actually writing this. For over two years you’ve looked after my little boy, you’ve helped him grow, helped him learn and given him so much confidence. He seemed so small when I first dropped him with you for his very first day. I remember it so well, you were the first group to watch over my baby as he hadn’t left my side until then. I can remember how nervous I was leaving him…but now I can see it was the best thing I could do for him. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping my tiny baby become such a cheeky little boy that he is now. I’m sorry he has eaten sooo much food, but he loves all your meals (please send me some recipes) As William grows older and starts his next chapter we will never forget everything you’ve done for William. Thank you so much- William always wishes Maddy, Lauren and Cody sweet dreams at bed time!
