Kasey Williams, Nursery Manager
Kasey has been a part of Schoolhouse’s journey since 2018 where she led our Under 2’s room and later became Deputy Manager.  With each new year came new children and families that Kasey had the pleasure of caring for and working with.  Being someone who believes in aiming for high standards, Kasey naturally progressed to Nursery Manager; a role that gives her the motivation to provide the best quality childcare and play opportunities.  And Schoolhouse has the best news to share….Kasey is currently on her own parenting journey as she became a new Mum in February 2024.  Watching her baby daughter grow and develop into a unique individual is truly an amazing experience and Kasey believes that childcare is one of the most rewarding jobs!  Whilst Kasey is enjoying her maternity leave, Cathryn is supporting Princess of Wales Day Nursery as it’s Acting Manager.
Cathryn Stinton, Deputy Manager
This was a perfect opportunity for Cathryn as she is an enthusiastic individual who shares the same passion for quality childcare.  Cathryn’s other passion is inspiring and educating young children.  She began her career as a teacher and found this a rewarding time as she had the opportunity to instil knowledge and make an impact on the upcoming generation.   Cathryn then took her first step in to a nursery environment and loved building home nursery relationships, again she was giving children the best start.  Whilst watching children develop skills and interests in a nurturing and knowledgeable environment, Cathryn gained her Level 2 in management.  This then led to her joining Schoolhouse as a Deputy Manager, this position offers new learning opportunities every minute of the day and Cathryn hopes that her own love for learning will help to develop confident, independent, happy little people.
We are a close knit team that goes above and beyond to create a family feel in our nursery and we want our children to have the most wonderful and inspiring time whilst at nursery.
We are housed in a demountable building, tucked away to the back of the hospital.  We pride ourselves on creating an atmosphere of cosiness, happiness and contentment and put the children at the heart of what we do. We have dedicated rooms all of which are natural and homely to encourage our young children to explore, develop and learn.
Our main room which is used as our Toddler and Preschool section is large, spacious and gives the children an excellent opportunity to be curious, adventurous, play and have fun.  And our wonderful under 2’s environment reflects a calm, homely space filled with authentic treasures to find and natural resources to explore.  We would love you to see our amazing setting full of happy children and staff alike- where we are like one big happy family!

Our outdoor space

We have a spacious and vibrant outdoor area adapted for all ages. The Toddler and Pre-School section has three separate textured gardens; one is a hard surface area that is used for bikes and scooters, playing in the playhouse, mud kitchen and chalking; the second is an exciting adventure area covered with bark, with four slides and various sized tyres for the children to play in; the third space is a grass area where the children enjoy playing in our wooden shelter area and growing vegetables in our ‘veg patch!  We also have a canopy area that enables us to ensure that children have outdoor play regardless of weather.

The Under 2’s Section also has a garden area which gives little people an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors in a safe and secure environment.  We have a mud kitchen area where the children love to explore with soil and sand and natural treasures.

Towards the front of our nursery we have 5 parking spaces for parental convenience to drop off and collect their children.
