Investors In People

Enabling individuals to achieve their potential in the work place is central to our mission and applies equally to our staff as well as our children. As an Investor In People since 2004, we are once again proud to receive the prestigious Gold Standard, a national award that is the highest accolade in people management and practices. In addition to this award we achieved the IIP Leadership and Management model in 2010 which enables us to excitedly bring new business initiatives to Schoolhouse. To reflect this we were chosen as 1 of 15 companies to take part in the Welsh Government’s Wales Leadership Award. We are thrilled we accomplished The Wales Strategic Leadership Award in which we are now recognised as having the qualities that create a leading organisation. The ethos of this achievement fits perfectly with our values of ENJOY, LEARN, ENCOURAGE, NURTURE and INSPIRE.

NLP Practitioner Programmes

Schoolhouse’s Management team have achieved Neuro Linguistic Programme Practitioner status by undertaking NLP Programmes with learning and Development Company Learning to Inspire. This was the next natural step for us as we have a passion to be involved in leading, supporting and motivating our nursery staff teams. Curious about Neuro Linguistic Programming and it’s learning techniques we each achieved a foundation degree in NLP. www.learningtoinspire.co.uk

NDNA Quality Counts

Our Quality Counts accreditation status gives us the platform to utilise the specialist knowledge and skills we hold in each area of our nursery provision. We have always undertaken this national quality improvement journey to ensure the children at our nurseries receive the best possible care and early learning education above the standards required by the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales. We continue to review quality across all areas of our nursery practice and this recognised kite mark is a real celebration of everything that is excellent at Schoolhouse- a true indicator of quality! www.ndna.org.uk

National and Healthy Pre school Scheme Award

Many of our nurseries have either achieved or are undertaking the New National and Healthy Pre School Scheme Award. The award comes from the Welsh Government and recognises pre school settings with a positive approach to health and the environment. The enthusiasm and engagement of our Pre School Co ordinator’s has ensured success in achieving standards in seven aspects of health, nutrition and oral health, physical activity and active play, safety, hygiene, mental and emotional health, wellbeing and relationships, the environment and workplace health and wellbeing.

The Designed to Smile Award Scheme

With healthy young smiles at Schoolhouse we are happy to be a part of The Designed to Smile Award Scheme which shows our commitment in helping our children to have healthier teeth. Food Hygiene Ratings

Our kitchens are clearly the heartbeat of our nurseries and combining our Nursery cook’s passion with delicious meals and a sparkling preparation area this is where the magic happens……achieving the top rating of ‘5’ by the Food Standards Agency! Registered with the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW), all our nursery sites celebrate successful annual inspections. We are proud of our reports which are available online through the CIW Website. www.careinspectorate.wales
