We understand that paying for childcare is a major financial commitment – that’s why we work with you to ensure that you get the best value from our nurseries.

We understand the importance of affordability and offer a range of discounts. To support families with more than one child attending our nursery we offer the eldest child a sibling discount. Full time places allows our pricing structure to offer a discounted rate on our full day sessions. Where applicable, we also offer special rates for families of NHS staff, South Wales Police, Fire Service, and Council employees.

We believe in transparency and value, which is why we offer competitive fees without compromising on the quality of our service.

Childcare Offer Wales

Our Schoolhouse nursery’s are registered for The Childcare Offer for Wales. If eligible you could claim up to 30 hours of early education and childcare a week, for up to 48 weeks of the year for children between the ages of 3 and 4 years. This government-funded childcare scheme aims to lessen the burden of childcare costs, giving families a saving. Eligible children will be able to access the offer from the beginning of the term following their third birthday until the September following the fourth birthday.

Flying Start Childcare Expansion

The Welsh Government is taking a phased approach to the Flying Start Childcare Expansion (FSCE) across Wales. If eligible you could receive free quality childcare for 2.5 hours per day, up to 12.5 hours per week, in line with school terms for children between the ages of 2 and 3 years.

Tax Free Childcare

If you are eligible to receive Tax-Free Childcare, you’ll set up an online childcare account. For every £8 you pay into this account, the government will pay in £2 to use to pay your nursery fees. You can get up to £500 every 3 months (up to £2,000 a year) for each of your children to help with the costs of childcare.

Tax-Free Childcare can be used at the same time as 30 hours free childcare – if you’re eligible for both.

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We appreciate the regular updates via the app, especially the photos of activities like painting, playing outside, and reading. The observation updates are helpful for tracking Trystan’s skill development, which we can support at home.

We’ve noticed significant improvements in Trystan’s independence, such as using cutlery, dressing himself, and socialising with other children since joining Singleton Day Nursery.

We also love the celebration of national days like National Pet Day and St. David’s Day.

To all of the amazing girls at Princess of Wales, Schoolhouse. I can’t believe I’m actually writing this. For over two years you’ve looked after my little boy, you’ve helped him grow, helped him learn and given him so much confidence. He seemed so small when I first dropped him with you for his very first day. I remember it so well, you were the first group to watch over my baby as he hadn’t left my side until then. I can remember how nervous I was leaving him…but now I can see it was the best thing I could do for him. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping my tiny baby become such a cheeky little boy that he is now. I’m sorry he has eaten sooo much food, but he loves all your meals (please send me some recipes) As William grows older and starts his next chapter we will never forget everything you’ve done for William.
